Lush Haul!

Over the past two weeks I've accumulated quite a bunch of Lush products. For any of you who don't know what Lush is I will tell you. It's a vegan company who makes fresh and handmade cosmetics. They do not test on animals and are helping to fight animal testing. They care a lot about the world, the people and animals and work with a lot of charities. They really are such a great company and their products are great!

Above is a picture of all of the products (minus a Dream Cream and Santa's Lip Scrub) that I've gotten the past two weeks.

In the picture above is three samples, Dream Cream lotion, Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter, Ro's Argan Body Conditioner, Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub, another Dream Cream lotion, Santa's Lip Scrub, Rose Jam Shower Gel, and Snow Fairy Shower Gel.

I also got a two bigger sizes of Snow Fairy, Hot Toddy Shower Gel, Vanilla Puff Dusting Powder, and Vanilla Dee-Lite Lotion.

In this picture is all of my fun bath bombs, bubble bars, bath melts, and soaps I got. I got a Rose Queen bath bomb, two Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bars, Star Light Star Bright bath melt, Yellow FUN bar, Pink FUN bar, Father Christmas bath bomb, Golden Wonder bath bomb, two Lord of Misrule bath bombs, the Christmas Penguin bubble bar, the Christmas Hedgehog bubble bar, Butterbear bath bomb, Northern Lights bath bomb, Candy Mountain bubble bar, Holly Golightly bubble bar, Cinders bath bomb, The Comforter bubble bar, Sea Vegetable soap, The Godmother soap, Rockstar soap, Snowcake soap, Sultana of Soap soap, and Fairy Ring soap.

I also finally got my claws back! A little longer than I wanted but oh well. The colors are both by OPI but I didn't catch the names. Oops. The shape is the coffin shape.

Lush plus LOVE

This past week I've acquired quite a bit of Lush products. My 21st birthday was two weeks ago (November 22nd) and I got the Snow Fairy gift set from my lovely boyfriend which includes Snow Fairy and Pink "Fun". This weekend I ordered from Lush online and got quite a bit which I will tell you about below.  Then yesterday I took a trip to the Lush store a purchase a few more items including another gift set. I am totally obsessed with Lush and if you've never tried any of their products I would recommend trying them. Start with the bath bombs, bubble bars, or bath melts (they're super fun!).

Above is the Snow Fairy shower gel and Pink Fun. Snow Fairy smells beautifully like bubblegum and also has glitter in it. Fun smells like candy and can be used in four different ways (shampoo, body wash, bubbles in the tub, or even molded into a toy). Snow Fairy is limited edition for the holidays and comes in three different sizes. The Snow Fairy pictured above is the 3.3 fl oz but I have their second biggest size coming in the mail and am planning on stocking up on more!

Pictured above are the items I picked up yesterday from Lush. I bought the Butterfly gift set for my Mom for her birthday next week. In the Butterfly gift there's Ro's Argan Body Conditioner and Sultana of Soup. I've never tried either of those products but I've heard good things about the conditioner and the packaging was so beautiful (butterflies are my mom's favorite). I also picked up the Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar, and the Lord of Misrule bath bomb. Both are limited edition and it's my first time trying them. I also got a sample of Snow Cake soap that I can't wait to try out.

I ordered a bunch of things from Lush from my birthday money. The products I ordered were Ocean Salt scrub, Dream Cream lotion, Star Light Star Bright bath melt, Butterbear bath bomb, Northern Lights bath bomb, Santa's Lip Scrub, Hot Toddy shower gel, Snow Fairy snow gel, Candy Mountain bubble bar, Golden Wonder bath bomb, and Father Christmas bath bomb. I've never tried any of these products aside from Snow Fairy and am super stoked to try them out.

Over the weekend I went to my best friend's baby shower where I was chosen to be the one to write down all of her gifts. I also won a prize for guessing everything correctly about her during a fun game.

Above is me writing down the gifts and laughing at something the mom to be said. Below is the mom to be and I.

Spring is here!

Spring is here and with a new Spring season here that means new fun, and colorful lip balms! After strolling through the craft fair today, and getting dinner at Cosi with my man I had to stop at Walgreens to pick up some feminine products and some new lip balms as well (couldn't resist).

I got the flavors: Honey Suckle, Summer /fruit, Blueberry Acai, and Strawberry Sorbet. The names and scents of these lip balms sound so delicious and yummy! To be honest the packaging is what sells me on these, they don't moisture my lips as well as I would like them too but I couldn't resist the packaging!

Soooo pretty and spring-y!

Aside from going to the craft fair, to Cosi's for dinner and picking up my new Eos Balms I recently did a promo shoot for the Wendy William's Show. I was on the news and will be in the commercials internationally for her new season. Sooo exciting!

First off, this is what I wore to the promo shoot:

Vibrant Purple & Chevron Print

My hair is obviously currently purple. In some lights it appears blue and even pink. I'm lovin' it, (my Mom not so much). I got bored and decided to whip out my seemingly prehistoric "Crimper" and crimped a few pieces of my hair. It added a edgy touch (I felt) to my outfit. I did my favorite winged liner look and because my hair and chevron scarf were both so bright and statements already I decided on nude lips.

Next is a "mirror pic" of my Outfit of the Day. I guess you could say the rest of my outfit is edgy as well? Anywho, edgy is what I am for. I pretty much live in dark colors, leather material, with bright statement pieces but of course sometime's I change it up depending on how I feel. Oh, and please pardon my messy dorm room seeing as I've been on the go the past week and haven't had much time to straighten up.

Denim/Leather Jacket-Forever21, Ripped Black Jeans-JC Penny's, Studded Black Boots-Eternity Fashion, Chevron Print Scarf-KMart, Studded Phone Case-Walgreens, Hair Dye-Splat.

How I crimp my hair:
First, I comb threw my hair gently trying not to cause any breakage. I usually spray some type of leave in conditioner and/or detangler after the shower and then comb through. I apply a heat protectant before blowdrying. You can get a cheap hair protectant at the drugstore by Pantene for less than $5. After blowdrying I brush my hair. Next, depending on whether you want to crimp your whole head or not I usually would straighten my hair before if I were only doing a few pieces. If doing your whole head, I wouldn't even worry about it. Following the blowdrying or straightening (whichever you end with) next apply heat protectant to the piece you want to straighten (if not doing your whole head) then start crimping from about a half an inch to an inch away from your scalp. I feel it just looks nicer that way and doesn't stick up at the crown as much. Crimp on each section for 5-20 seconds depending on how your hair is. If your hair is FINE then you really only need to crimp it for about 5 seconds. If it is pretty thick like mine then keep it on for 15-20 seconds. After crimping hold hairspray a few inches away from the crimped hair and spray.

If anyone is curious on how I died my hair bright purple, leave a comment below and I will write a post about it. (It's been about a month, so it was much brighter then.)

(Being silly, of course!)

My hair right after I died it. It was super super bright and vibrant.

Anyways below are the Nylon magazines I am currently reading. I'm also really loving the covers and spreads of both Demi and Vanessa. STUNNING.
